Trio Caliente announces
NEW ALBUM RELEASE CONCERT @ BLUES ALLEY
Tuesday, March 29, 2016
Shows at 8 & 10 PM

Trio Caliente’s 2007 debut album, “BAILA ME” and following 2010 release, “OYE CHICA” hit the Latin Billboard Charts and won major airplay on Adult Contemporary and Latin radio stations nationwide. Their music made national acclaim on NBC’s hit TV show, “Smash” and on E! Network’s hit comedy talk show, “Chelsea Lately”. Now the group is thrilled to announce the March 2016 release of “MIRA”. Fiery Spanish Flamenco guitar pyrotechnics blend with hot Latin dance grooves of salsa, reggaeton, cumbia, gypsy rumba and bossa nova - woven within a tapestry of sensual melodies. Inspirations: Think Pink Martini, Rodrigo Y Gabriela, Ottmar Liebert, Gipsy Kings meets Celia Cruz, Astrud Gilberto, Shakira, and Gloria Estefan.

“MIRA” features performances by renowned bassist and producer, Scott Ambush (Spyro Gyra); world-acclaimed drummer, Lee Pearson (Chris Botti Band), and Brazilian percussionist, Bruno Lucini (Origem). Award-winning “soneo” and lead male vocals are served up by Alfredo Mojica, along with his percussion mastery of hot salsa congas and timbales. One selection features the breathtaking tabla work of Masood Omari. Trio Caliente is comprised of vocalist/ actress (Netflix’ “House of Cards”), Deborah Benner (singing in Spanish, English and Portuguese), and guitarists, Michael Bard and Amilcar Cruz, international performers and composers residing in the Washington, D.C. area.
