Trio Caliente announces NEW CD RELEASE CONCERT

Trio Caliente’s 2007 debut album “BAILA ME” hit the Latin Billboard Charts and won major airplay on Adult Contemporary and Latin radio stations nationwide; now the group is thrilled to announce the November 2010 release of "OYE CHICA”. Hot original Latin dance hits fuse sensual melodies with intoxicating rhythms in a landscape inspired by Celia Cruz, Baden Powell, Gipsy Kings, Tania Maria, and Steve Stevens (Billy Idol).
"OYE CHICA” features performances by award-winning
salsa “Soneo” vocalist/percussionist, Alfredo Mojica and great Jazz
and Latin “All-Stars”: on percussion, Chuck Redd (Charlie Byrd); acoustic
bass, Tommy Cecil; tenor sax, Chris Vadala (Chuck Mangione).Brazilian
batucada/samba comes alive with the magic of electric bassist Leonardo
Lucini and percussionist, Bruno Lucini (Origem). Latin Grammy-winning
Raul Jaurena (“I Love Tango”) adds the plaintive beauty of bandoneon
for a taste of Argentina on “Suenos!” Trio Caliente is comprised of
vocalist, Deborah Benner and guitarists, Miguel Bard and Amilcar Cruz,
international performer/composers who reside in the Washington, DC area.
In celebration of the album’s release, Trio Caliente will play a concert at BlackRock Center for the Arts on Saturday, November 20, 2010, 8-10 pm. The performance will feature guest artists, flamenco and salsa dancers, including world class tango dancers, Arturo y Mari Grandon.
